Sun Tea (DTA contest)

This is my entry for a draw to adopt contest hosted by
It was also a little something to cheer me up last night (I drew it yesterday,
it was a way to cheer up after the awful DMV visit, but I did not have enough time
to write up my bio for her)
I love this Sushi Dog, she's just so cheerful.
She reminds me of me when I was little, because
I would always have my hair braided and think the best
of everything. If I get my things done before the contest ends,
I would love to draw an anthro drawing of her, too.

Here's a little bio that would apply if she were my character~

Name: Teanna (Tee-ah-nah)
Nick name: Sun Tea
Species: Sushi Dog
Gender: Female
Height (anthro): 5'4"
Personality: Cheerful, bright, happy most times, tends to
think the best of others, easily trusting, energetic, loving,
playful, sweet, kind, compassionate, gentle, sympathetic
and empathetic to others having troubles, generally is
everyone's shoulder to cry on, supports friends that are
sad or depressed (because she knows what that's like)

Background: Teanna is a young Sushi Dog with long brown hair on her head and tail which she loves to have braided. She was nick named Sun Tea by her friends due to the similarity of her name, the markings on her haunches she was born with, her love for tea and all things under the sun, and her extremely bright and happy personality. She tends to be easily trusting of others and eager to offer her help in case anyone may need it, which has gotten her hurt a couple times because not everyone is kind or without ill intentions in the world. She tries to thing the best of people, not judge, or base any thoughts about a person due to stereotypes or prejudice. She wants to be kind and loving to everyone. Her most favorite personal body feature would have to be her hair and tail; in the summer, when the sun bleaches it, her hair gets extremely soft and is full of beautiful golden highlights. When she was younger, her hair on her head was so long, the braids would drag two feet behind her feet paws (down to her knees in anthro), but a really awful prankster thought it would be funny to cut her braids off. Teanna was devastated, crying daily for a week at a time, and was generally our of character and sad until her hair grew out long enough to braid again. Due to this experience, although easily trusting of people in their kindness, she is not AT ALL trusting of everyone to touch her hair. Only very close people and friends she can instill all her trust in and has known for a while are allowed to touch her hair. If anyone else tries to touch her hair, she will generally lay down her ears and let out warning growls to let the person know that what they are doing isn't okay. She has never hurt anyone over her hair, however, if someone is persistently trying to touch her hair and make her uncomfortable, she prefers to walk away and be far away from the person. She cries easily when insulted, hurt, or just feeling sad. She's fairly emotional, and although generally a really happy and bright Soosh, she is prone to getting depressed. No one really quite knows why, sometimes it seems to happen for a reason, sometimes for no reason at all, but every once in a while, she goes through a week or more of crushing sadness. No one quite knows why, its like when clouds suddenly come up in front of the Sun and everything gets dark and chilly. When she is going through her period of sadness, she will generally migrate from place to place in her home (couch, bed, floor, garden) and just lay motionless, sometimes thinking, usually just staring blankly. Due to this, Sun Tea has a very good understanding of depression and is always extremely eager to comfort and support people who are suffering depression, even if she is also depressed at the time, she will try to muster up her will power to help them. What tends to get her out of her sadness though is drinking tea, going out with friends, and being outside gardening. She loves to garden, and wear pretty dresses with big floppy woven sun hats with a matching green bow. Her favorite color is spring green, and her favorite seasons are spring and summer. She enjoys the warmth more than anything, and when gardening, she plants all types of things, primarily fruits, vegetables, and a massive array of flowers which (since more are produced than she can ever eat or use) she sells at the farmers market. In the abundant seasons where she gets more flowers than she has room to sell in her little market stall, she decorates her home with some of them, and then donates a large portion to foster homes, orphanages, Children's and Regular hospitals, and senior living centers to brighten up the atmosphere for them. She does also, with the flowers she saves for home, enjoy decorating herself with flowers, too, whether she makes flower crowns or bracelets or braids flowers into her hair and tail, she genuinely enjoys the beauty and wonderful scents of flowers. She also enjoys cooking, and will often host "cooking parties" with her friends in which they get together at her suburban country home on the more rural parts of the city and cook a large gourmet meal together which they then sit down and eat. They also have "gardening parties" where they help Teanna with her gardening, and then sit down to relax and enjoy the fruits of their labour. When the weather is nice and she doesn't have anything in particular to do, she likes to lay outside in her garden on a towel with a cup of Lemon Tea while sunning herself. She wears lemon hair clips because they are her favorite fruits; her reasoning behind this is because "they can be used for anything!" referencing the very wide variety or uses for lemons, ranging from sweet, sour, salty, zesty cooking recipes, to pastries, teas, household remedies, and even as a form of cleaning. She has her own lemon tree in her massive garden among many other fruit bearing trees, and her extensive use of lemons in her cooking, teas, and other assortment of activities has left her always smelling sweet and lemony, like a natural fresh perfume.


Aaaaa that was so fun to write! I have never really
written a biography for a character, let alone one
that big, but I really love this cutie and writing
about her and what she is like and her past times
really made me fall in love with this little doll. Best

in advance whoever the winner may be. This character
is an amazing treat, and whether or not I even win this
contest, I will look forward to drawing her again nevertheless in the future.
