Riley (Grem2 temp.ref)

edit because nifty information! When I first bought my slot, I did not know how to design him, but I thought something bird based would be a good idea. He was originally going to be a really natural looking woodpecker based design, but I just started doodling him up the weekend I got my slot (sunday night drew him up) and he turned into this! I knew I wanted these colors, but when I finished coloring digitally last friday, it felt really.. hmm off? Like something was missing? Thankfully that feeling has faded and i am really happy with his design and and pining to get some art for him ;v;



Temporary reference for my new Grem! He is a MYO and he was just approved today!
Temproary ref because I'm not too happy with the ref aaaa ;O; The front view was my first ever
drawing of a Grem, so it looks a little wonky for what my self-expectations are.

I had this finished on the 13th at 10PM or so, but the species owner was busy on the weekend ;v;
It would have been so cool to upload this on friday the 13th, especially because my ticket number was 013!

But yeah guys! This is Riley. He's kind of a jack of all trades and can help with basically anything and everything and not be completely terrible at it!
I haven't quite worked out stuff about who is his owner is or where he belongs... _{I'm thinking of lumping him into the same little world as Kana and Tank
(my aphid myo for Icarusis' contest ;v; ) and he can live in the inn and help around town but idk yet!}

he is my precious adorable baby and i love him.
His two tails can either have fluffy sort of tail poofs as pictured, or they can be more of a sharper diamond shape, it is by aesthetic preference uvu
Sometimes he takes a big ribbon and ties his tails together so they look like one thicker tail with two tufts at the end (kinda like a fish tail)

NOTE: Now when I draw him, I generally just draw his ears with 5 larger and more shapely segments rather than a ton of smaller ones.
The back view is more anatomically accurate for his body shape, ignore the wonky front view ;v;

About: Riley is a very expressive Grem. He is generally pretty happy and quirky, eager to help others and get involved in their business.
He is extremely open, and one can usually pin exactly what and how he is feeling just by looking at his facial expressions and body language
(hence, very expressive). He can be really playful, and all around just enjoys life. He seems to highly enjoy observing and analyzing other
living things and how they react to things, he loves observing reactions.

He gives no shit about gender identity as a thing; one moment you will find him in traditionally masculine clothing, the next in a french maid's outfit
cleaning up someone's house. He is very fluid, and his preferences to dress have no specific requirements aside from the fact that they must
look nice on him for whatever criteria he has set for himself for that day.
